'CRANNOGS'
On 8 February 2003, a new book, 'Crannogs' was launched by Madam MacDermot at Dillon House, Ballaghaderreen. Co. Roscommon.
The work is by Swedish archaeologist Christina Fredengren and is based on field work carried out by Christina mainly around the crannogs in Lough Gara.
A crannog is an ancient wooden dwelling built on an artificial island in a lake. For more information check out Christina's book, published by Wordwell. €25
